•  Male lead, various comedic characters, in the Whale Fat Follies & Other Shows, a singing/dancing comedy sendup of local people, places, and politics. Performed in the final year of a 20-year local entertainment institution, the establishment being sold in September of 2006. Member of writing and performing team, playing characters as varied as Elvis Presley, Richard Simmons, a vegetarian wolf, Johnny Cash, one of the Sentimental Sisters, a Brokeback Pirate, and many others.

•  Responsible for daily operations, setting and maintaining standards. Hired, trained, and managed staff of as many as 35 employees during peak season. Assisted owner in general contracting duties on new building. Opened new building with kitchen, lounge, and upscale Paradise Room. Organized and wrote Employee Handbook, other documents. Private party planning, entertainment booking, events calendar publication. Some pre-press production and web management.

•  Created a dining space and private party venue in new Paradise Room (see previous job description). Booked and confirmed parties. Responsible for the overall management of food and beverages, Paradise Room staff, public relations, guest complaints, and responsible alcohol service (certified TiPS instructor) in a combination dining room / upscale ultra-lounge. Other duties included everything from hosting to bussing, bartending, managing flow of guests between the Bungalow Lounge and the Paradise Room.
